This page gives you a few tips on keyboard shortcuts you can use. They come in handy when typing a document - rather than keep switching from keyboard to mouse and back over and over. These shortcuts are generally standard in most windows based programs where they apply.
Windows System Key Combinations: F1: Help CTRL-ESC: Open start menu ALT+TAB: Switch between open programs ALT+F4: Quit program Shift+Delete: Delete item permanently
Windows Program Key Combinations:
CTRL-C: Copy CTRL-X: Cut CTRL-V: Paste CTRL-Z: Undo CTRL+B: Bold font CTRL+U: Underline font CTRL+I: Italicize font CTRL+N: New file CTRL+O: Open file CTRL+S: Save file CTRL+P: Print file
Windows Explorer and General Folders:
F2: Rename object F3: Find all files F5: Refresh current window F6: Move among panes in windows explorer CTRL+G: Opens ?Go To? tool CTRL+A: Select all items in current window Backspace: Move to parent window Hold CTRL while dragging: Copy a file. Hold ALT while dragging: Move a file. Hold CTRL+SHIFT while dragging: Create a shortcut.
